Hamshire hub registered manager, new carer and engagement director with Hampshire Chronicle.

The staff at Blue Sky Fostering's Hampshire hub were pleased to be featured in their local newspaper, the Hampshire Chronicle. As this year marks Blue Sky's 20-year anniversary, it was the perfect opportunity to connect with the newspaper and share more about the work we do to support children and young people in care.

Since our founding in 2005, Blue Sky Fostering has been dedicated to providing safe, loving, and stable homes for children who need them most. Our commitment to high-quality care has been recognised since we very first began, with Ofsted rating us as ‘Outstanding’ during our first inspection in 2008, a rating we still hold proudly today.

Although our first hub was based in Hampshire, we have since set up more hubs to help support foster carers and young people across the South of England. Reflecting on two decades of service, there was something special about speaking to the Hampshire Chronicle from the county where Blue Sky first began.

Fostering is a journey filled with both challenges and rewards, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by our foster carers. Without them, the work we do simply wouldn’t be possible. Blue Sky foster carer Louise Taylor was in attendance and commented, "As a carer, you need connecting with real people because we're managing really different situations with our young people."

Looking ahead, we remain committed to changing lives through fostering. We continue to welcome new foster carers into our community, providing training, support, and guidance every step of the way. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time to find out more and join us in making a real difference.

We are grateful to the Hampshire Chronicle for helping us share our story, and we look forward to continuing our mission for many more years to come.
