Social Worker Alicia Persichini took these wonderful photos of the pumpkins, capturing some of the spirit of the afternoon.
She says:
The weather was foggy, grey, and miserable — the perfect weather for Halloween! A big gang of us set out to the pumpkin field in search of the perfect golden pumpkin. We had foster carers, children and young people of all ages, plus extended family— so we made a big bunch. It was a real family occasion.
I wore a spider on my head, which got a lot of attention from the children...
After we had picked our pumpkins we headed back to the hub to paint them and enjoy hot chocolate from our hot chocolate station. One of the girls thanked me for such a lovely day and our time, which I thought was very sweet.
It was a perfect Halloween day!
