1. Burning the Clocks, Brighton

This annual event holds all the magic of Christmas. Stroll through the streets of Brighton in a beautiful lit procession of handmade lanterns. Thousands gather to make paper lanterns, which are carried through the centre of Brighton to finally be burnt on Brighton beach. Feel the true spirit of Christmas in this free community event.

5. Christmas at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton

The Royal Pavilion in Brighton offers a unique festive experience with its beautifully decorated rooms and Christmas events. Storytime with Santa, Tilgate Park, Crawley Christmas events Sussex and Surrey 2024

7. Storytime with Santa, Tilgate Park, Crawley

Join Santa in his grotto as he reads a magical Christmas tale, telling us all about what he’s been up to and how he’s preparing for this Christmas.

This group event for up to 15 lucky children with their grown-up, [or singular children can bring two adults] gives each child a cuddly toy from Santa.

8. Christmas Tree Festival, Eastbourne

This small community event features lots of Christmas trees all decorated to the theme of different films. With a raffle, craft stall, cakes and refreshments, plus an angel trail, this is a sweet Christmassy afternoon with the little ones. St. Andrew's Church of England Infant School Choir will be performing at 3:30pm on the Friday, with the festival closing with a Carol Service on the Sunday at 5pm.
